Many years ago when HLC’s Board Member Cheryl Delbridge MD, was taking HLC’s PC Course she educated Hu Dalconzo why her school’s training model, “See One, Do One, Teach One” is a very effective instructional model.

HLC New SMC 201 and PC 301 were specifically designed to take full advantage of Cornell University’s proven and successful training model.

To understand why Cornell’s training model is so effective, I want you to image that you are a Cornell medical student and you had to master numerous medical techniques in a very short period of time. What Cornell’s instructors realized was that if they have their students “See one” (watch a skilled practitioner facilitate it), and then “Do One” (Experience it on themselves- in first party), and then “Teach it” (to several people within a week’s period of time), was the most effective and efficient way to train their future doctors.

That’s why HLC’s new SMC 201 and PC 301 are taught using Cornell’s “See One, Do One, Teach One” training model.

For example if you were to enroll as an SMC 201 student you will: “See One” (You will “see” your HLC instructor facilitate each Self-mastery book lesson on you); “Do One” (You will “do” lesson one as a client and experience it in first party); “Teach One” (You will “teach” it to two practice clients (friends, family members, etc) within a week’s period of time, and lastly you will attend a weekly tele-class where you will get all of your facilitator questions answered in a group setting (so you will hear other students questions also) by an experienced HLC Instructor.
