3. WHY DOESN'T HLC OFFER COLLEGE DEGREES? HLC could offer non-accredited college "degrees" like many other holistic and theology non-accredited colleges, but to do so would go against HLC "Spirit before Profits policy." To be direct, HLC Board of Directors feels that to offer a potential student a non-accredited "degree" is merely an ego-based sales technique since 99% of mainstream accredited colleges, universities and public corporations do not recognize or accept non-accredited "degrees."
