Deepak Chopra
Deepak Chopra was born in 1947 in New Delhi, India. Deepak Chopra
established the American Association of Ayurvedic Medicine in
1991. In 1995, he opened the Chopra Center for Well Being in La
Jolla, California where Deepak Chopra serves as educational director.
Deepak Chopra attended the All India Institute of Medical Sciences
and embarked on a career in western medicine. After graduating
in 1968, Deepak Chopra interned at a New Jersey hospital, trained
for several more years at the Lahey Clinic and the University
of Virginia Hospital and became board-certified in internal medicine
and endocrinology.
Deepak Chopra taught at Tufts and Boston University Schools of
Medicine, became the chief of staff at the New England Memorial
Hospital and established a large private practice. However, during
this time, despite his apparent success, he noticed a growing
lack of fulfillment. Dr. Deepak Chopra immediately realized that
here was a system of health care that actually treated the whole
person; a system whose guiding principle is that the mind exerts
the deepest influence on the body.
Deepak Chopra would acknowledge Hindu texts such as the Bhagavad-Gita
as sacred. To many of his enthusiasts, Deepak Chopra's writings
themselves have a sacred quality. Deepak Chopra's following is
quite large. Deepak Chopra has become one of America's best known
healers and alternative medicine advocates. Deepak Chopra is the
author of 19 books, a couple of which have been on the best-seller
list simultaneously, more than 30 audio, video, and CD ROM programs.
Deepak Chopra has been published on every continent and in a dozen
languages. Nearly 10 million copies of his books have been sold
in English alone. In conjunction with PBS, he has produced a number
of TV and video programs. Among them are Body, Mind and Soul:
The Mystery and the Magic, one of the most highly-viewed and successful
fundraisers in the history of the network.

THE CREATION PROCESS IS A NATURAL SEQUENCE
Deepak Chopra taught me that there is a natural sequence
to the Conscious Creation Process. This sequence begins when you
are willing to experience your inner spiritual potential through
the awareness that you are the creator of your thoughts. With
training, this distinction allows you to control your mind. The
ability to control your mind enables you to distinguish the difference
between your ego and your real Self.

HU NOTE:
You will attract into your life what
you are, which isn't necessarily
what you want, because the Law of Materialization
is...
Be, Do, Have! |
"Law is the process by which the unmanifest becomes manifest;
the observer becomes the observed; the seer becomes the scenery;
and the dreamer manifests the dream!"
Deepak Chopra
The Spiritual Distinction Meditation makes you more willing to
give to others that which you wish to receive. As you give to
others that which you wish to receive, you create good karma for
your Self. This activates the "Law of Least Effort", which enables
you to create, with the "least effort," whatever it is that you
desire. As you consciously create, you'll begin to experience
how the Conscious Creation Process works. As you keep practicing
conscious creation, it becomes easier and easier for you to implement
the "Law of Detachment". The Law of Detachment grants you the
mental freedom and the emotional serenity to be OK with any outcome
that you create. It allows you to "detach" from the outcome because
you know that whatever you create must be perfect for the evolution
of your immortal soul.
THREE THINGS YOU CAN DO ABOUT KARMA
Deepak Chopra taught me that there are three things that you
can do about your past Karma: EXPERIENCE IT, TRANSFORM IT, OR
TRANSCEND IT.
Most people do it the first way; they EXPERIENCE their Karma by
PAYING their KARMIC DEBT. They unconsciously experience that which
they have "dished out" coming back to them because of the Law
of Sowing and Reaping.
The second choice is to TRANSFORM your Karma into a more desirable
experience by asking yourself the question, "What can I learn
and how can I grow from this experience?" In this way you'll TRANSFORM
your adversity into a benefit, which can bring you health, wealth,
and spiritual fulfillment.
Lastly, utilizing the Law of Detachment, you can TRANSCEND your
Karma and become independent of it by MEDITATING. Meditation enables
you to clearly define the distinction between your Self and your
Karma. This awareness allows you to "be in the world, but not
of it." Your dramas will have no real power over you because you'll
view them as you do a movie, from an emotionally detached state
of consciousness. Meditation allows you to TRANSCEND your karma
because it trains and disciplines your ego mind. This allows you
to wash your karma off in much the same way that mud washes off
your skin.
